I got a food coma. Good burgers and you must try their deep-fried cheesecake.

new ownership, new atmosphere, actually enjoyed going for pick-up. The Pugger.... best one in long awhile. oh how I missed it. And I did see some jerk stuff on the menu. hmmmm ... one flaw , no takeout menu, your a take out joint. kinda probably should be a priority.... just sayin

Great food, great people. Probably the best fries out of any burger joint and their burgers are delicious. Not only that, but it's a family owned business with wonderful people running the show. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for quality and deliciousness

Don't listen to all the fake reviews posted by competitors. Oneill's provides the biggest homemade pure beef burgers in Ontario. You have the option of classic or gourmet toppings, and the biggest shakes, awesome chicken, sausage, fish and chips, homemade chili made by experts. Try for yourself and don't be fooled by the liars.

I have been going to O'Neills since I was a teenager, I fell in love with the food instantly! Portion sizes are huge and prices are very reasonable 😊

Iam super saddend to give O'Neills a one 1 star! But things have changed with O'Neills! They still have amazing fresh hot fast food. But where my complaint lays is with the "new owners" I have been ordering from O'Neill's for super long time l and if anything could not be met they always contacted the customer! Where as tonight instead of contacting me letting me know there was a problem with the order they just didnt complete it! I spent 80$ on good food from them tonight for my family and while they all sit around the table eating I have to now make myself food. Because O'Neills couldnt pick up a phone to call me and figure this out! Iam really disappointed with all of this! I will be calling to speak with a manger tomorrow when the store opens cause that is quite unfair!

Amazing food and service as always, my favourite place for burgers in the city.

Ordered the Dublin with mustard, relish, lettuce, tomato and a pickle. Came with ketchup and a pickle.No fork to eat the poutine, had to use my fingers and it was the worst poutine I have ever had. Had a metal taste to it, had to throw it in the garbage along with the dry burger.

Came in and ordered a buffalo chicken poutine it was really good. Looks like the place is getting cleaned up and back to running how thing were. Coming back for a pugger next!

Well I must say the new owners are great finally we have people that are making food the way the original owners made there food good job keep it up bacon poutine yummy

I used to come here often. stopped by while in town was excited only to find out there’s an obvious change in ownership. There was one guy working the counter and he was visibly overwhelmed he was continuously running back and forth from cooking to touching money/taking orders while I did see him wash his hands once he was doing a many things at once so at one point he touched money and then touched food at which time I choose to leave because they also weren’t accepting debit. after reading the recent reviews I dodged a bullet disappointed used to be a great burger place

This place has been a Hamilton institution for a very long time. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. It is family owned and ran. Well worth the trip.

Just went in to get the Friday Fish Special. Was definitely special. Fries dark and quite a few burnt. The Fish batter was raw on the inside. Not worth going back again.

I stoped going here after original owners sold it as it was terrible...8 years plus later...it is worse than ever...staff extreamly unprofessuo al teenagers with no management around...instead of keeping any quality in there product...they were just talking about closing down as they did not want to prepair more gravey or toppings...i was given terrible skimpy food and poutine with half scoop gravy...owner should be shamed of himself

The food was very tasty just like home cooking.

Worst place to go, horrible service. Punk kids running the shop. I ordered extra bacon, and I get a tiny piece of bacon the burger is horribly put together. I get there to pick up my order to find out that they gave my fries ways to one of his friends after the friend realized what she had done she laughed in my face. He then asked me to wait another 5 minutes after waiting 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I understand it is a Friday night and they would like to go home but I paid for my order and they should make it right. Worst place to go!!! I'm not kidding any other place will be better then the food you get here!

The “ultimate fries” were delicious! Huge portion, with generous toppings and great flavour, which had just the right amount of heat. Will definitely order again!

Placed an order and waited an hour and a half before calling back to see the progress, person that answered the phone sounded young, extremely unprofessional, and rude (honestly worst customer service I’ve ever had anywhere.) I don’t think they ever took my order down to begin with as they couldn’t even tell me what I ordered when I gave them my address. So I cancelled and had to order food for my family elsewhere and wait another hour and a half. Completely unprofessional, foods not even that good to have customer service that rotten. None of us have ordered since and never will.

July 1, 2020 Today I called ahead and asked a gentleman if they were open today and I was told they were open from 1pm to 8pm. I drove over side door is open and 3 girls sitting outside told me they were closed due to a robbery a couple of days ago. Someone needs to get the story straight. Very bad experience will not return

Highlight of O'Neils is the Pugger!!! Dont forget the Garlic Mayo! Historic place to me if you haven't been its definitely worth a try! Things like brownies, cheesecake squares and jumbo size milk shakes! You can get good deals every day like "Game Day Sundays" "Fishy Fridays" "Throwback thursdays"

I love the new O'Neill's. New owner, new staff, looks amazingly clean.Same menu items plus more. I had the new manwich. It looks like a big mac on steroids, only with jerk chicken and bacon. It was amazing. Definitely the best I've ever tried.

Terrible. We were the only customers there and they messed up our order. You would think in this time when small businesses are counting on loyal customers you would want to do your best. Did not put anything on our burgers that were supposed to come with the works. Burgers were tiny. Meal came with a handful of fries. The wings were soggy and very fatty, and the sauce tasted like your usual 99 cent chicken and rub sauce from the grocery store. Super dissapointing

O'Neill's is a local staple. The burgers are amazing, as is all of their food. It is a family owned and operated business - this restaurant is what it means to be a little fish thriving in a big ocean. All my best to this amazing place and the people inside.

Best burgers in hamilton. Always has been. But after the new owners took over it got even better. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the new owners took some of the best burgers off the menu. I'm very dissapointed that they got rid of the meat the beast burger. But they still got the best burgers in town. And prices are really good too. A pugger burger combo comes up to around $11 (if I remember correctly) and for those who don't already know, the pugger is a full pound of beef

Cold food and definitely not fresh. I ordered for the first time just now from Uber eats. poutine looks bad and cold. Jamaican patty was nasty. I throw out all the food in the Garbage what a waste of money. Stay far away from this place. I don't even know how they are in business

Food was excellentI had the philly cheese steak sandwich and the steak was thin sliced and seasoned perfectly with enough cheese to hold everything together. We were fortunate enough to sample their jerk steak which was very flavorful yet mild. The jerk seasoning is made in house and has a spicy variation.My husband enjoyed his fresh made, cooked to perfection burger patty, and the 15 sauces available to choose from!

Best burger place in Hamilton for big custom made burgers, poutine, chicken fingers and big thick milkshakes. Best prices, A lot less than the trendy new places. It's a Hamilton icon. Famous for the one pound banquet burger called The Pugger. Lot of fake negative reviews to dissuade you But this place has your back. Other than the fact that it's an old building that just means for 35 years it's feeding the community. Fresh made burgers fresh cut fries big portions hits the spot. What's not to like? Lucky to have this place.

New owner has definitely put a lot of hard work and effort into maintaining the restaurants image! It’s actually much cleaner and the food is amazing! You could never say the food lacks any spice or flavouring that’s for sure! The staff is always more than welcoming and very polite! Would absolutely recommend everyone try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a family owed and operated business! It's a father with his daughters! Just loving people. The food is out of this world. I've traveled around the world and I'd say this place being under new management has the best burgers and fries I've ever had. Not to mention they now serve Jamaican food..... the Jerk Chicken here is fantastic

Much better than the last time I was there. It once was a great place but when it changed hands.... I stopped going there. New owners again and the place is much improved!!!

I will never ordered from this place again! When ordering you got to make sure your not ordering from the old Manu because they have not updated there! Burgers are very dry but bread is soaked. They also don't listen well when you order so they end up making your burgers wrong!

Many different and unique flavours to try out with two amazing sides. This time I got the fries and they were some of the best I've had! I can't wait to try them again soon!

My son and I went for the first time in years service was horrible, too busy dancing to the music,made my son's burger without gloves...very shady place now felt very uncomfortable there with the cops watching the place and circling around the block several times. People are says there is drug trafficking going on in there...😪😒 wont be going back !

The spice mix they've incorporated into the Pugger has created an absolutely delicious and juicy addition to my list of go-to joints in town!

Staff were all clearly doing coke in the back. Couldn't get anyone's order right. Actually watched one of them spend over a minute trying to get ketchup out of an empty container before tossing it across the grill.....

YES!!!! This place has been restored and then some. Just tried again since management has changed and they’ve made some updates. Fries are awesome burger was delicious and obviously made there not just some generic burger. Will be back to enjoy again and try some other things!

Do you love hot food? How about fresh food? If so, look elsewhere. O'Neill's thrives in providing you with the experience no one asked for. Do you also want a correct and concise order? Keep on scrolling. You won't find it here. Not only are they incapable of remembering a correct order, they can't seem to figure out how to serve hot and fresh food. Never in my life would I think it would be this hard to make a burger and fries in a reasonable amount of time that didnt taste like it just came out of the freezer until I've eaten at this place. I've been consistently disappointed and every time I give it a chance (it used to be really good many years ago) I've been let down. Do yourself a favour and order elsewhere or order a milkshake. It's already cold, it cant be too hard to mess that up right?
